Organized by
The Willow Centre Child and Family Foundation
The WCCFF was established in 2006 with the goal of raising funds to support children and families with complex mental health needs. Firstly, the foundation aims to help families who have been unable to receive adequate and prompt mental health treatments through publicly funded community services. Many families face challenges accessing necessary services due to the complexity of their needs, lengthy wait times, or because they are not financially in a position to be able to pay for services privately. Secondly, the WCCFF aspires to provide preventive early intervention services to infants, young children, and parents who are at-risk of developing mental health challenges later in life due to adverse early experiences (e.g., trauma, family violence, and/or family history of mental health concerns). Lastly, a longer-term aspiration of the foundation is to establish a therapeutic nursery school or daycare centre where at-risk children and their parents can receive therapeutic services in a safe and supportive early learning environment.
