Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society

"In Autumn 2020, we will be opening Tupa’s Lodge, a transitional housing program for mothers and infants & children at-risk of involvement with the Ministry of Children and Family Development. The goal of Tupa’s Lodge is to provide a safe, culturally-sensitive, and supportive living arrangement for mother and baby, in order to nurture early bonding, and prevent children from entering foster care.

Wrap-around programming utilizing existing programming at the Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society, as well as new programming specifically offered for residents, and referral to relevant community resources will be an essential component of this program. An essential part of this program will be Elders who will live in the home, and provide support, guidance, and knowledge-sharing with residents."

Her International

"Her International has been supporting the empowerment of women and girls in Nepal and Canada for 15 years. The charity was founded in Kelowna, BC in 2005. It was originally known as IWEN (Intercultural Women’s Entrepreneur Network) and changed its name to Her International in 2017.

Nepali context

In the Nepalese rural district of Dang, the ethnically Tharu people are marginalized and lack financial means to access education. This puts them, particularly young girls, at risk for exploitation. Tharu girls are at greater risk of child labour, early marriage, human trafficking, and lack of education."

WIN House

"WIN House provides a safe place and emergency services for women and children fleeing domestic abuse. Through comprehensive programs, support and advocacy, we’re shifting the scales. As a safe haven for victims, we connect and equip individuals with the support and hope they need to overcome an abusive situation.

We're focused on what we can do to support Edmonton’s domestic abuse victims and their families. Together, we will make victims victorious."

Wine Partner

All dinner tickets come with a complimentary bottle of wine graciously provided by our official wine partner, The View Winery.

This fleet of wines is value priced and very popular for those who prefer to buy wine on-line, but with awards coming in, they are finding a place on Okanagan wine tours.

The brand is a reflection of a philosophy of optimism and positivity at The View that we always strive to make part of our personality.

Silver Lining White is a mouth-watering blend of Gewürztraminer/Riesling and Ehrenfelser, Silver Lining Estate White opens up with aromas of honeysuckle, peach, pear and melon. Our cool climate whites each have something to offer. Putting them together in this blend, we've created something powerful. Flavours of baked apple pie and Asian pear give way to a zippy lemon-lime soda finish.

Silver Lining Red is an approachable, easy drinking crowd pleaser. A blend of Pinotage, Merlot and Baco Noir, it is juicy and jammy with vibrant dark cherry, ripe plum and spice with a hint of smokiness. Pair this up with anything on the barbeque and you have a winner. The critics like it too. This selection notched 90 points at tastings.com.
