Jeff Sodowsky

Vice President Pacific & Senior Consultant, Global Philanthropic:

Keynote speaker: Daring to Dream Big

It starts with a dream – a vision that things could be different. The journey toward building that new reality can take one of many paths. As fundraising

professionals our jobs necessitate the understanding and integration of many facets of the organizations in which we navigate. These perspectives give the tools to chart a new course – one that is often invisible to others. How do our histories and personal practices combine to make even more possible? We are not only problem solvers and the makers of change, but we are also often the origin of new visions or breathers of life into new realities. Explore ways to make “better” begin with you.

Session Speaker: Inclusive Leadership -

A scenario-based skill building session

Taking an inclusive approach to leading and managing diverse teams can be challenging, but we’re here to help. Attend this interactive session with Live-Polling via your cell phone to learn about the six signature traits of inclusive leadership, as outlined by Deloitte, and how to apply them practically. Develop awareness on personal intercultural competence, and how your unique perspective can help you embrace individual differences when making decisions that affect others. Equipped with this new knowledge, you’ll have the opportunity to gain experience evaluating different types of inclusive approaches to leadership, in a scenario-based setting. We present scenarios in which leaders like you are faced with individual interactions, team dynamics and strategic decision-making, before putting the solutions in your hands. **Please bring your smart phone for this interactive session: This session is a judgement-free space: Everyone is at a different stage in their DEIB Journey (diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging), with different levels of comfort in participation and expression.
