Our Night-In Gala

Social distancing at its finest, the Night-In Gala has all the familiar elements of a traditional gala: dinner (option to be delivered to your door), game-changing speakers, entertainers, musicians, and much more. Dress your best, log on and dine with us in style from the comfort of your own home! Help us build a better community, together.


COVID-19 is dramatically affecting the way we live, but it isn’t changing who we are. Whenever our communities struggle, Canadians rally to support one another. On June 13th, we rally. We rally to support each other, we rally to support our local businesses, and we rally to showcase our community's strength and optimism for our collective future.


The night-In Gala’s goal is to raise $30,000 to support the Foundation's work in our community.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Get your computer ready and sign into the event with the link that will be emailed to you prior to the event start time. Our "variety show" style entertainment will be fun, inspiring and thought provoking. We hope to bring some joy and excitement to you in your living room to bring us all together, even though we're physically apart.


Your ticket purchase includes a dinner from our "Community Kitchen" - a unique, never-before-seen custom collaboration brought to you by Tyler at Humble Roots and Mike from Big Feast. Choose your menu option (chicken, beef or veggie), choose to pick up or have it delivered, add wine of your choice and you're all set!


Your ticket will be a direct and much-needed donation to support community efforts for our local residents, and we thank you for your contribution!

ABOUT OUR "COMMUNITY KITCHEN"

Never before has our community seen a collaboration between 2 amazing local culinary entrepreneurs! Tyler (Humble Roots) and Mike (Big Feast) are proud to offer you the following custom menu to tempt your taste buds & please your palette, using locally sourced produce and product. Your 5-star meal includes appetizer, dessert and your choice of main course:

Artisan crostini trio (vegetarian) - Sundried tomato & basil bruschetta, mushroom-truffle duxelle (contains nuts) & a homegrown herb tapenade served on house made grilled focaccia

All 3 of these choices will come to you in oven-ready containers for maximum quality, temperature and freshness. With heating times between 25-30 minutes, enjoy your appy while your meal is heated to perfection at your convenience...before, during or after the show!

Back Yard Vineyards Pinot Gris (Fraser Valley)

Fresh orchard fruits, tropical flavours of papaya, nectarine and guava in a delicately crisp wine.


Desert Hills Cactus White (Okanagan)

Blend of Gweurtzraminer, Viognier, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris lead to layers of honeydew, rose petals, melon and stone fruit.


Back Yard Vineyards Cabernet Merlot (Fraser Valley)

Blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon with a palate that features black cherry, subtle smokiness and light pepper.


Desert Hills Cactus Red (Okanagan)

Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah, a medium boddied, supple and fruity wine with ripe berry flavours.

Where are the funds being directed?

All proceeds from this event will support the Foundation in continuing the work they do in the community for non-profits, individuals and families in Maple Ridge.

Is the food only available in Maple Ridge?

The restaurants taking part in our Community Kitchen, Humble Roots and Big Feast, are 2 of our premier, home grown restaurants created by local residents Tyler and Mike. Unfortunately our delivery option is only available within Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, but you are welcome to visit the Community Kitchen to pick your meal(s) up. We will share the address once your tickets have been purchased.

How can we support this event other than purchasing a ticket?

  1. Donate an item or gift-in-kind for our silent and live auctions/
  2. Sponsor our event through any of the levels, or sponsor a unique "specialty area" such as entertainment, delivery or tech.
  3. Donate a ticket to individuals in need that you know would like to attend but do not have the means to do so.
  4. Share the event through social media, email and within your networks to help spread the word.

Can we join from outside Maple Ridge?

Of Course! This event is open for all who want to join, but food delivery is only available within the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows communities. If you are outside the Ridge Meadows area, please contact us to discuss options for participation at executive@mrcf.ca.
